USHERING DEPT

Psalms 84:10 – “Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.”

An usher is a spiritual ambassador for the church – God’s ordained and organized body of believers. The usher serves as a “first representative” of Jesus Christ for a worship service.

In the Redeemed Christian Church of God Tree of Life, our ushers serve to set the stage for the worship experience. We are literally part of the continuing story of God’s redemption. The spiritual readiness and act of service plays a huge role in the life-changing experience that takes place in the house of God.

As ushers, appropriate dressing, beaming smiles that reflects the Glory of God and team work is our hallmark.

We welcome people to church and ensure their safety and comfort by guiding them to their sitting areas and helping with children. We serve the congregation bulletins, water, drinks and food when necessary.

YOUTH MINISTRY

Welcome to Tree of Life Youth Ministry

Within the RCCG (The Redeemed Christian Church of God) Tree of Life Parish Youth Ministries, we have a goal to bring young people together in a life of faith, action and fellowship, and address spiritual, emotional, and social needs unique to youth. We want to create a safe and nurturing space for teenagers to gather together and share their feelings and concerns with each other and with caring adults.

With everything we do, we hope that both youth and adults will be able to build meaningful relationships with each other and with God. We work to provide opportunities to serve our God through mission work and service projects to become better Disciples of Christ. Through worship and conversation, we explore our faith and equip the youth with what it takes to live a Christ-filled life.

Our desire is that everyone (youth) involved with this ministry might encounter Christ so that all of us may grow in fellowship together and in discipleship to God. We help the youth to understand and prosper in the contemporary world using biblical teachings/means.
