Do you have a dress code?
Yes, our dress code is simple: please wear clothes! Seriously though, we have a very laid back and casual environment. In our services most people will be in a "jeans and t-shirt" type outfit. You will also see some people in "business casual" apparel and once and a while you even see someone in a suit and tie. Every Sunday there is usually at lease one person in camouflage, and if you think it's warm enough, shorts and flip flops are fine. Really, we do not care what you look like so please come as you are!
What is your service like?
A typical service has about 30 minutes of music and singing followed by about 15 minutes or so for announcements, prayer requests, testimonies, an offering, and a 30 to 40 minute message. People love to hang out before and after the service, drinking coffee and chatting.
Our music is performed by a worship band, and is mostly modern worship songs with an occasional hymn. Pastor Harry does his best to preach messages that are Biblical, relevant to today, and interesting. You can listen to Pastor Harry's messages online by clicking here
Are you part of a denomination/larger organization?
Yes, Harvest Family Fellowship is part of the Assemblies of God. You can find out more about the Assemblies of God on their website by clicking here
What translation of the Bible do you use?
Pastor Harry normally uses the New International Version (NIV), although other translations are also used from time to time
We follow the Assemblies of God 16 Fundamentals of the Faith. You can read and study the 16 Fundamentals by clicking here
Do I have to believe what you believe to attend?
No, anyone is welcome regardless of their beliefs. We are all on a spiritual journey and we realize that different people are in different places on this journey. We welcome questions and intelligent debate/dialog!
How tolerant are you of noisy children?
We LOVE children! The sound of children is always welcome at Harvest Family Fellowship! We understand that children make noise, and have no problem when kids are just being kids. With that being said, we do ask that common courtesy be used. In other words, if little Buford is screaming bloody murder, please take him out of the sanctuary.
How long is your service?
This can vary from week to week, but generally our services run about 1.5 hours
What children's programs do you have?
We offer a staffed nursery for those that are birth through 3 years old as well as a children's church program for those 3 years old through 6th grade. The children stay in the service during worship and are dismissed right before the sermon time.
What is your mission statement?
Our mission statement is "Building stronger families for a better tomorrow." Read more by clicking here
Does your church take any political stances?
We do our best to leave politics out of the church. Our opinion is that the way we live our lives every day is far more of an indicator of our faith and values than how we vote.
I'm single, divorced, married, republican, democrat, agnostic, atheist, pregnant, addicted, gay, confused, arrogant, normal, weird, skinny, fat, bald, HIV positive, emo, redneck, etc. - can I come to your church?
YES! All are welcome at Harvest Family Fellowship!
What style of preaching does the pastor use?
Pastor Harry generally preaches in an expository fashion, but on occasion will also preach topical and textual sermons as well.
What is your leadership structure like?
The senior pastor is the head of our organization and is in partnership with the church deacons, who are elected from the church membership. Descriptions of the responsibilities and qualifications of the pastor and deacons can be found in our church constitution and bylaws by clicking here
