Tips for Using Push Notifications

You are allowed 256 characters for your push notification text, however, the typical mobile phone screen will only show up to 140 characters. 

Push notifications do not save inside the mobile app, as they are not a messaging system.

The push notification system is an alert that draws user traffic into your app. We find that adding a new Article section and typing in your more lengthy text based announcements (and adding a photo, video, or third party embed code) then sending a push notification to alert users that there's new information in your mobile app is a highly efficient way to use the push system.

In the photo above, the administrators have added new content inside their mobile app, and then used their push notification capabilities to let users know that there is new content located in the app, hoping to draw traffic into the app.
